Import Media Hosted on Video/ Photo Sharing Platforms

Import YouTube Videos

To import a YouTube video, go to the YouTube tab in the Media Library panel, and click on the icon at the bottom . Inside the text box, copy the YouTube video url.

By using this feature, you only copy the url link of the video hosted on Youtube and its associated meta datas. If the owner of the Youtube account decides to unpublish the selected video, it will then no longer be available in your project. For this reason and for obvious legal matters, we also recommend you use only videos published by Youtube trusted users or, even better, from your own Youtube account.

When you import external videos, if there are advertisements on them, you can not remove them. These are imposed by YouTube.

Import Vimeo Videos

To import a Vimeo video, go to the Vimeo tab in the Media Library panel, and click on the icon at the bottom. Inside the text box, copy the Vimeo video url. This will add the video to the media library and you can then use it like any other video in your timeline.

Import Dailymotion Videos

To import a Dailymotion video, go to the Dailymotion tab in the Media Library panel, and click on the icon at the bottom. Inside the text box, copy the Dailymotion video url. This will add the video to the media library and you can then use it like any other video in your timeline.

When you import external videos, if there are advertisements on them, you can not remove them. These are imposed by Dailymotion unless you have a specific account that allows you not to show ads on your own videos.

Import Flickr Images

To import pictures from Flickr, go to the Flickr tab in the Media Library panel, click on the icon at the bottom of it . In the search bar, write the description (keywords, tags) of the pictures you are looking for.
To import pictures from your Flickr gallery, click on LOG IN at the top right of the Flickr tab; allow Klynt to access your Flickr account (via API). Browse your gallery and select the pictures you want to import.

By using this feature, you only copy the url link of the file hosted on Flickr and its associated metadata. If the owner of the Flickr account decides to remove the selected picture from his/her online account, it will no longer be available in your project. For this reason and for obvious legal matters, we also recommend you use only files published by Flickr trusted users or, even better, from your own Flickr account.

Note:

When you import external videos, if there are advertisements on them, you can not remove them. These are imposed by YouTube and Dailymotion unless you have a specific account that allows you not to show ads on your own videos.

Furthermore, you can not hide the video by placing an image or another video over it. In YouTube's case for example, if you place an image above the player to try and hide the YouTube video, the video does not play when you export it.

In Dailymotion's case, once you publish your project, if you click on your video, you are redirected to the Dailymotion page of this video.

And finally, the streaming of the videos is independent from the Klynt player, so sometimes external videos may charge faster or slower than your own media which might affect the synchronization.
