Klynt 1.3(793) Release Notes - February 15, 2011
Continuous audio volume control
Continuous audio is when you set an audio file to continue playing after the sequence is over or when a sub sequence is opened. You can now control the volume of this audio file from the audio parameters window.
Video files are treated for web viewing on import to the media library
Most H.264 files have the index at the end of the file which for progressive download means that you have to download the whole file before you can start watching the video. Some of our users had this problem and did not want to compress or change the video format, so now, as soon as a file is imported into Klynt, the index is placed in the beginnning of the file so that users won’t wait when they’re viewing it online.
Ergonomic changes
Buttons appear with a fade effect
Every Klynt button you use will appear with a fade effect of 1 second when you play your project.Custom lists have been removed from the media library
Which gives more space for the sequence lists in the media libraryChanges to automatic and manual links
After you create a link on your storyboard, and when you go into the sequence to edit it, you will have a choice in the link parameter windowAssign the title of your choice to the player's footer elements
You can now change the footer title in the player of the "MENU", "MAP", and "CREDITS" to have the title of your choice. Just go to My project > Edit index menu, Edit map menu, or Edit credits and add the title of your choice in the Footer title text box. Please note that if you open a project that you have created in a previous version of Klynt, the footer buttons for the index menu, the map menu, and the credits page, will not have a title and you will have to manually type it in in the project settings.
Bug Fixes
- All flv videos can now be used in Klynt.- When you save your project (command+S), the .kl file is updated, so you no longer have to preview your project (command+R) in order to see all the changes you have made to your project when you open the index.html file locally.
- Upper case file extensions such as .MOV or .JPEG are now accepted in Klynt.
Note: If you have created a project with an older version of Klynt, please make sure to go over your text elements to check whether a scroll bar has been added to the text area. Scroll bars were not part of our previous releases, so if the text area of older projects is smaller than the text, a scroll bar is added in this version.
